Oh Boy…Lots of updates.

Matthew has been pretty busy working on the house these past couple of months. I haven’t been able to help really since we found out in March that we are having a Baby Boy! But I am so proud of Matthew and how hard he has been working to prepare for our new addition. We still have a lot to go but I envision smooth sailing from here on out. Matthew started scraping and painting the exterior of the house. We decided on white with navy trim. With remodeling there can be surprises and you can change your mind many times, even with a very set plan. I have definitely had to be flexible, but not all changes are necessarily bad. When Matthew started scraping the window trim to test out our navy paint swatches, he unveiled beautiful wood trim that was just too cool to paint over. SO, we are just treating with hemp oil and leaving the trim natural wood. See pics below!

I am also really excited that Matthew finished tiling the upstairs bathroom! It’s so pretty. I love the mix of black and brown in the porcelain tile. Seth has been helping and finished painting the outside of the claw foot tub and legs. That baby is ready to go upstairs. We also purchased a really cool old brass tub fixture we found on craiglist! I’m so excited and so proud of Matthew’s hard work.
